I agree. H50 is at best a mediocre kit, plenty of reviews show this. No need to take my word for it, just research yourself. For this reason I passed on an H50 deal that was $50 final price, free ship and no tax (i'm in California and vender was in NY). Even at $50 it's not appealing to me. With the new H60 coming out, and vendors still trying to push the H50 out the shelves, we may see some 4X.XX pricing, which may cause me to bite.

I love how so many are suggesting coolers rather than asking why the hell the cpu is idling at 75c?

You've got something very wrong there! Try reseating your current heatsink and check the bios to make sure somehow your CPU voltage hasn't been put up stupidly high.....

If his CPU is idling at 75c he's got much more to worry about than a new cooler.... I've seen better temperatures with no TIM

is your heatsink completely clogged with dust?

Exactly. Hyper 212+ is not cheap, it's not even below $35, because Newegg is ripping off its customers by selling it for $37 shipped right now. Mugen 2s can be found for that price. Or you can get Hyper 212+ at buy.com, $28 shipped; they're still not that bad of a heatsink, especially when I can regularly get them for $20 shipped/pick up at NCIX.
