Is it even worth it to install this sound card in?

Thread Starter
I have an EVGA 132-BL-E758-TR motherboard. I recently found my old Audigy SE sound card in my basement. If I were to use it, would it even improve my sound, or is my onboard better? I know nothing about sound, so I'm asking for help.[G][/G]

If you have a nice set of speakers to compliment the card it will probably be better.

The Audigy SE was my first sound card. It'll probably provide a minimal improvement over onboard sound quality but it's better than nothing. The best thing is that it'll give you more inputs and outputs and allow you to customize your settings a little more.

Look around for some mods, see if you can get it to sound better.

You have nothing to lose in trying it but in my experience even the meager audigy SE is better than on-board.
