Psu enough for gtx 570?

Thread Starter
psu: Vitsuba SAN 70-S (700w 22a on 12v)
vga: MSI Twin Frozr II OC GTX 570

i read that the 570 needs for minium a 550w psu, with 38a on the combined 12v line, but im just wondering if my psu is enough to handle my config ( i5 750, 3 hdds, 1dvd drive, 4gb ram, 5 coolers with leds )
the i5 is not oc, and i wont oc it
just that because i cant afford to another psu

It's the 38A that's important, not the 550w. If you only have 22A on the 12V rail then definitely not, but are you sure it isn't a multi-rail PSU?

Edit: Pics from here show that it's got 22A on each of two rails, giving you 44A total on the 12V line. So you should just sqeak by. I'd use one PCIe from each rail to better balance the load.

I edited my post, it seems to be dual 22A rails, so I think it'll be ok, but close. @OP, I wouldn't OC it with that much else going on those lines too.

you should check the power draw of your system...because if everything else is drawing 6 amps on full load your 12V rail is maxed, and that's not a happy place...i really think the whole "squeeze by" deal isn't gonna be fun if something goes bad...

I'm gonna run two 560s soon with a 750W and 12V @70A...and that's where I like my system being just to be safe...
