Deciding between two Corsair headsets

'Sup OCN.

I noticed that I posted a few months ago asking for a really good headset for <$100. Around that time, I got the TekMotion Pulsewave v2 since I'm totally OCD about blue LEDs because I'm trying to keep my theme for my PC.

Just the other day, they finally failed on me, and after just four months of normal use. Right cup went out. So, now I completely regret getting these for being more concerned with lights than quality... There goes $55 out the window;/

Now I'm shopping again, and I noticed Corsair came out with headsets. My OCD(sorta) now is acting up again. I have the H50, Dominators, and PSU made by Corsair. So I think you'll know what I'm thinking already. Unfortunately, I don't have a Corsair case, and that's because they're UGLY. lol

Anyway, which of these are good? Corsair HS1A or Corsair HS1

Of course, if you recommend something superior than these two, by all means share them! And I prefer not to go with the headphone + clip-on mic route... I think that'll end up more expensive than just getting a headset.

Thanks!

Totally false. You get far better value for money going headphone + clip-on / lapel / desktop mic.

I didnt like any of the Corsair headsets. I found them to be really tight (Especially if you have a big head lol) and after long periods of use very uncomfortable. Even stretching them out a little the comfort in my opinion stunk.

before anyone says anything I wear a fitted hat around 8 1/2

Oh fine... I've seen a lot of recommendations for this set-up, so if you say so!

Where do I start? :I

Just wanted to update this real quick.

After some further browsing, found a blog here that had price ranges for good gaming headphones.

Looking some up, I'm torn between the JVC HA-RX700 and the Shure SRH240. I personally like the Shure because it looks sleek and cool, but I rather know from others who know audio which is the better option.

I mostly play games like L4D2, TF2, and a bit of RPG(ME2, AC1/2, DA, etc). Music-wise, listen to some new age, pop, SOME rap, and a bit of rock. I don't know what's the name for it, but I also listen to 'spa' music; soothing, relaxing stuff.

Neither. Get a decent pair of headphones and a clip mic.
