Webcam Issue

Everytime I try and run my webcam on weather its the AMCap program it came with or on MSN or Skype all I get is a black screen and nothing else, I've tried everything I can think of to fix it, can anyone help?

Did you open the little lens cap slide?

No lens cap on it.. Kinda odd question... Also its a Gear Head 1.3 MP Sound FX WebCam

have you updated your drivers? if you post the model number of your webcam, we can find the drivers you need.

Its model # is WC785SFX but from what I can tell there arent any...

Also from before.... some webcams have a slide lenscap that covers the lens when not in use.... hey... ya never know smile.gif

Yea, I know about those and thats the software I already downloaded and tried, the issue is that every time I click on the webcam source all I get is a black screen.

have you tried different usb ports?

try one that isn't in a hub.

go hereclick "allow" and see if your webcam shows up.

Yea the site works and webcam shows up working but its not showing on any messanger or programs on pc.
