Hey,

I'm wondering if i could run this following system with 32bit Windows XP SP2 OS, i've got it overclocked till 4.5ghz aswell, would it somehow affect my OC or would it run normally and just only use 3,2gb~ ram and not 4gb?

My setup:
Mainboard S-1155 ASUS P8P67 Pro, ATX
Prozessor INTEL Core i5 - 2500K, 3,30GHz, LGA1155, Quad-Core, Boxed
PSU ATX 650 Watt, CORSAIR 650TX, 80Plus
GFX CARD ATI HD4850 512mb&256bit - for now, keeping it from old PC
G.Skill DIMM 4 GB DDR3-1600 Kit (F3-12800CL7D-4GBRM, Ripjaws-Serie) CL7 8-7-24
DVD-+R/-+RW SATA LG GH-22NS50, bulk,
HDD SATA II Samsung SpinPoint F4, 320 GB, 16MB Cache - from old PC
Miditower XIGMATEK Midgard
Mugen 2 CPU Cooler

Thanks

As stated you'll be limited with RAM.
Other than that, should work.

Yeah, you'll only be able to utilize 3.5GB of that 4GB of RAM.

Yep. You might need to slipstream your SATA drivers into the install disk, though.
When in doubt, burn a Linux LiveCD/installer before hand.
If you run into problems you could always just install that to use your PC in the mean time.

Hey,

I've just tried to install Windows XP Pro 32bit on my system and like u see all the loading info and then when it prepares to install Windows screen just goes black and then i get "blue screen".

A Problem has been detected and Windows has been shut down to prevent damage to your Computer.

If this is the ifrst time you've seen this Stop error screen, restart your computer. If this screen appears again, follow these steps:

Check for viruses on your computer. Remove any newly installed hard drives or hard drive controllers. Check your hard drive to make sure it i properly configured and terminated. Run CHDSK /F to check for hard drive corruption, and then restart your computer.

Technical: information
*** STOP: 0x0000007B (0xF78D2524, 0xC0000034, 0x00000000, 0x00000000)

I plugged my HDD into other slot and i changed my OC settings but that didn't help me anything.

What i should i do? I googled the technical information and i see that ppl changed the AHCI mode and then it worked for em, i had the same problem when i built my pc and i tried to boot with XP, i couldn't do it but then i changed the AHCI mode and it worked.

But will it affect anything on my system when i got Windows XP 32bit installed and like when i gonna try to install the motherboard drivers?
