GTX580 SLI on 850W

Thread Starter
Quick question.

Wanna know if my Corsair 850HX can handle the following:

AMD 1090T: 4.1GHz @ 1.4125V
2x GTX580 915/2100 @ 1.15V
Single Loop w/ D5 pump

Have seen similar posts but I think I'm using a bit more power.

The 580 uses less power than a 480, you're HX850 should be good. Take note that my friends 480 in SLI and CPU are water cooled as well.

I would not say 100% because thats 1.15v you are putting through those GTX580s.

What voltage would put me in the definitely safe zone? I'm fine underclocking a bit with SLI.

I would just overclock the cards as they are, the worst case is the psu will just reset your computer if the load is too high.

You are going to be good to go though.

not to hijack the thread but how would 480 SLI fair in comparison?

For reference, I had my rig running on a 750W Corsair and 800W Cooler Master.
