Ek-d5?

Is this designed specifically for EK pumps or could I use my MCP35x?

You can NOT use it on your MCP35X because it's not a D5. That top will only work on any variety of the D5 pump from Koolance (PMP-450), Swiftech (MCP655), etc.

Is it worth it to do that?

To buy dual D5s? It depends on the loop but more than likely a single D5 will run it just fine. If its a complicated loop a single DDC (MCP355) will save money and should work.

To be honest it's mostly for aesthetics but my loops is certainly not going to be the simplest one.

I found the EK-DDC X-Top which supports (according to EK) the MCP350 and 355 but no mention of the 35x. Would that get the job done just as well?

Also found this: http://www.ekwaterblocks.com/shop/pu...etal-g1-4.html

Is that just simply for aesthetics?

The second link is for looks, silence, and a slight flow increase.
dual DDCs will pretty much do any loop just fine. I don't know if I am understanding your question correctly, but yes, an single mp35x should do maybe 2 - 3 gpus, 1 cpu, and maybe a 360mm + a 240mm rad.

Thanks mate. I have 2 GPUs, a CPU, and 2x360 radiators. Do you think a single 35x will do the job or should I get a second just to be safe?

Is http://www.performance-pcs.com/catal...ducts_id=24825 compatible with the 35x and not just the 350/355?

Is http://www.performance-pcs.com/catal...ducts_id=27149 compatible with 2 x 35x?

Thanks so much. +rep

It should will run it but if you have the money for a second 1 well go for it! haha. Sadly I don't think anyone makes tops for the 35x but I'll check anyway.

EDIT: Yeah, I don't see any tops for it mainly because the default top is already great!

Thanks fastsite

I contacted EK support to see if they can check on that for me. I mean I would assume it would work. Isn't the 35x just a better 355? I guess they'll get back to me.

I'm surprised with all the 35x owners that nobody has tried it.

Yeah, who knows they might just work. Good luck!
