This. Why didn't I notice that AS5...
I have two tubes of MX-3. One is near empty, the other is brand spanking new. MX-3 is just awesome.

okay, well the ram model rabbit suggested is not listed in the mobo's compatibility list. The list hasn't been updated since 05/10....so is that something I should worry about? And once again, I do not overclock...never have. I joined the board cause I saw so many experienced builders XD

If your not planning on OC'ing then I would ditch the CPU cooler and just use the stock heatsink/fan and spend the money on something else that will improve your system like the faster memory or better mobo.

You could also go with this board

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16813131402

That will save you some more money and get this memory.

What's the total budget you have for this build?

Well the reason I choose this board is so that I can SLI when I buy a second card. my max budget will be 700 but I will need a very good reason to go that high. Part of the reason I am wanting cooler is that I have more than 1 pc. I may want to play with overclocking in the future....not likely to ever push up to 4.0 or higher. But if I read enough on the forum to become more comfortable with it I may try nudging the cpu/ram up a little...
being on this forum has peeked my curiosity anyways

Does the asus Mobo still have issues with 400 series nvidia gpus? I read a new egg review stating he could only get 200series or lower working.... over all the asus mobo has less negative feedback than the MSI
