Turtle Beach Ear Force Z2 Broken After a Month

Thread Starter
I was wondering if I should go with Newegg or Turtle Beach first for my current issue. I have a Turtle Beach Ear Force Z2 and Thursday night I was in middle of playing ET:QW and out of nowhere my headset snapped [the left part where the ear part connects to headband]. I've never misused it, dropped it, or stepped on it and etc. I've had it for a month and 5 days at the time it broke. I'm going to assume it was defective since it was as if you bought a hat and a week later while walking around wearing it, the front part just collapse. Right now the state is it is the left ear part is hanging by the wire, but I put back onto the headband, and wrapped up the wire and put it in it's normal safe location on the first level of my desk. I'm going to try my luck again with the same headset since I really liked it, but if I get another and it fails on me, I'll probably move onto a creative one.

1) Should I contact Turtle Beach or Newegg?
2) Would I be able to get a refund or replacement?
3) Since I didn't pay for extended warranty and newegg warranty is I believe 1 month, what would happen regarding that?
4) Your previous experience with this type of issue?
