MS Technet question

Hey all,

I read the technet site briefly, I have a couple quick questions. For the standard subscription, I couldn't find anywhere where it specifices exactly what it is. Are there licenses for each OS? or is there one with multiple activations? How does it work when your interested in putting say win 7 on 3 comps? and then play around with a couple other Microsoft OS's on a test pc?

Just need some clarification on how technet monitors/licenses the software? Cheers

For all of the products that come with an activation key, you get something like 10-15 unique activations per key... and a number of keys per product. If you install Windows 7 Ultimate on three separate comps, you use up three activations for Ultimate. But you still have activations for Professional, Home Premium, etc etc.

Just remember that the fine print for Technet *does* say you're only supposed to use the provided software in a development environment, and not in any production environment...
