In some synthetic benchs, yes, in most real life tests, no. The SB is an excellent cpu, and IB can only be better, but lets not kid ourselves, and most important, don't try to kid all the noobs and people reading these threads for info, they may just think you know what your talking about and believe you.
The problem with SB is everyone assumes your talking about the 2600k which leads the mind to think about the overclock scores, they forget about the plethora of SB's that can't be overclocked (which could be the same situation with IB, since it's more or less just a die shrink, it could only be the extremes that overclock), where will they stand when BD is released if it can match SB at stock, since BD can be overclocked, fact.
