Thanks. There's no way to see if all my components are getting enough power is there? Like, if my outlet is actually supplying my machine with enough power?

Your breaker will generally flip if you're hoarding too much power on a particular circuit (assuming your socket wiring isn't complete garbage). That's generally around ~1800w as a lot of breakers are rated around 15A.

I don't understand the preoccupation people have with keeping their card as cool as possible during idle, unless it's a malfunctioning card, it won't reach anywhere near dangerous levels at idle and I'm positive that the companies that produce these cards engineer them so the failure rate isn't grossly affected by a couple of degrees on the idle temps.

It may be best to search for a power option in the catalyst software. Running those youtube videos of your cpu increases your power consumption if matters to you.

In the nvidia control panel there's an option for maximum performance or adaptive/power efficient. That way the card won't clock itself that high.

I set a profile in Afterburner, but will probably go back to Overdrive, right now its:

30% until 70c
45% @ 75c
50% @ 80c
60% @ 90c

1% for every 1c is going to be better.. but louder.

The noise is why I always use aftermarket cooling

Adobe flash has gpu hardware acceleration. It is handy for 1080p and completely normal.

What i usually do is set one profile in afterburner to 60%. This keeps the card under 80C for me when under full load. I set another profile as auto. All I have to do is right click AB in my system tray and select which profile I want and it takes effect immediately. I tried playing around with custom fan profile, but it would sometimes go above 60%, which was annoying. Setting it at constant 60% was more tolerable for me.
