Help!! 449FSB Cant Boot Into Windows But Posts up to 470FSB?

Hey Guys, I have just encountered a new problem.

I'm working on a ASUS P5E3 Deluxe With a Q8200 CPU but I can't seem to be able to log into windows 7 if I set the FSB to 449Mhz.

I can Post successfully, even upto 465 - 470FSB. But freezes or crashes on boot / windows load up screen even if set at 449 Mhz.

The ram was downcloacked to 1377Mhz and I have tried upping the CPU V Core to 1.4V , North Bridge to 1.5V Ram upto 1.7V FSB Termination 1.38V. Nb FSB Strap 400Mhz .nothing seems to work..

How much do you need the 449 fsb? How about trying 450? Practically, the same..

POSTing takes nothing compared to placing a load on your components for real and booting...
EDIT: You've hit a wall. Enjoy it.

if it doesn't work at certain settings, then use different ones :

If you have followed my instructions from your previous thread then you've hit a FSB wall of your system (probably CPU wall)..

Also try to run lowest RAM freq available for that FSB and run 400MHz STRAP as suggested by CL3P20 in your previous thread..

CHEERS..

Yea I kinda figured that out myself, any workaround this wall / issue, any way I can fix this. But , "Enjoy it?" seriously that helps huh?

Yup, I followed all those instructions, very helpful. thanks for that. thats how I went past my 450 wall and was able to post upto 470FSB.

Could you give me an example of running the lowest RAM freq? Do you mean downclock the ram from 1300mhz to say 1000Mhz ?

I have already set the 400Mhz Strap on the NB.

Yes chose the lowest RAM freq option in BIOS when running 449MHz FSB and proceed with OCing..

If that doesn't help then you've hit FSB wall of your system (CPU wall most likely as Q8200 is a low end,low binned CPU)..

CHEERS..
