P67 Chipset- when the fix one's arrive? - Page 2

I'm sure we wouldn't see any new P67 boards with the fix for at least 2 months...

Not to mention its a good way to get a brand new board somewhere down the road for resale purposes.
Exactly this...

In a year (or whenever you're ready to sell) buy your new mobo, then RMA the P67 board to ASUS (or another OEM). All you'll have to tell them is that it's an original P67 board and one of the SATA2 ports is slow, that's all. You'll get a brand new board with the newer B3 chipset to re-sell for more money than a used one.

LOL

Yeah, those outside the U.S. should probably get the new boards as soon as they can, by whatever way is offered.

The issue i most afraid of is that when i will go and buy the MOB , lets say from KSP. after two month i will come to them and tell them i want to replace the MOB to the fix one they will refuse to do that.

Any advice?

Don't even try getting it if it goes into customs.

If it's above 50$, they will force you to go down to the main Post Office building and wait there for two hours while you pay the taxes for the item you already purchased.

No, you have to find someone who's willing to ship it to you with the total written under 50$. It's not hard - I just shipped a huge box to myself that weighed 40 lb. and I got it from the local PO without having to pay a cent more.

Go to the request section of the Buy/Sell board and ask if they're willing to lie about the value. If they're not, they don't understand how easy and harmless it is.

Here's some useful information:

RAM - Almost as cheap here as in the US
Cooler - Too heavy to ship; not worth it.
MOBO - Too big to ship - up to 50$.
CPU - Easy as hell to ship, but nowhere to find them on eBay.

I say, if you can get a 2500k on the forums, have it shipped to you for 3$. Make sure to again tell them to place the price on it as <50$.
