Not sure what your cpu uses power-wise but if this were an i7 920 I would put the power requirement at around 550w, balls to the wall. How much will it be used full on?
In view of the fact that most psu's run at their most efficient between 40% and 70% load, a 750w psu is just about there and an 850w is a good decision. Of course it will suffer a little more when just Idling.
I have an 850 TPQ in my daily rig for about 2 years now...the first one died in a few weeks but this one (antec did a mod on later ones) has been no trouble at all and most of the time runs @ ~350w - 400w 24/7 365. It had a few months running 2 9800 gx2's at around 700 -750w
In my other crunching rigs I have a 910w pcp&c and a 650w X-series seasonic both of which I would give a recommend. My next purchase will be a seasonic
I have killed 2 coolermasters (the 900 and 1100 UDP) running well in spec and will not be buying more unless made by other.
Hope this helps
I dont keep the PSU, i get rid of it with the computer and build a whole, new computer
and it will be used for nerly a full day 7 days a week with some exeptions, so about 22 hours 7 days a week or 22/7
and at 850W my pc will be more efficient, Ready for any future upgrades and alot of other reasons
so its well worth the little bit extra money anyways
Thank You for helping
