Good luck everyone.
So, what do you do when someone offers you some GPUs as a donation? Keep them, or give them away to people who need them? Well, I tried keeping them, but I'm not actually allowed do that, so instead, we'll give them away.

We have six GPUs to ship out to worthy Folders:
• An Evga GTX 260 216, donated by kremtok

• An XFX GTS 250, donated by Fannblade

• A Sparkly GTS 450, donated by SS_Patrick

• An Evga GT430, donated by omega17

• A BFG GTX 260 216, donated by 69BBNova
• Another BFG GTX 260 216, again, donated by 69BBNova

-thank you to Lutro0 for the pictures-

How do you enter? Quite simple, really. Post a paragraph on why you feel you deserve to win one of these GPUs. All entries will be judged by the Folding Focus Group, and the people who we feel would benefit most from this will be the winners.

A few restrictions:
• It must be used for Folding. Obviously.
• You must not have a better GPU.
• You must have been Folding for OCN for at least a month (EOC stats would be helpful).

Remember, the GPUs will go to those we feel are most deserving, so if you've got a couple of Fermi GPUs, probably not worth your time entering. But if you've been struggling with an 8600GT and would like to pump out a bit more PPD, but can't afford it, this will be the thread for you.

All entries before 23:59pm on the 28th of February will be judged.

Other info:
GTX 260 - requires 2x 6-pin power connectors
GTS 450 and GTS 250 - requires 1x 6-pin power connector
GT430 - requires no 6-pin power connector
BFG GTX 260s are 65nm, and are the models with the backplate, and adjustable voltage. So I'm told.

Good luck everyone.

I would want to win one of these to fold on. I started folding recently and my 8800GTS pumps around 3.8k-4k ppd which is quite less. If I get a card it would go into my sig rig and I'll have my 8800GTS fold 24/7 on my download rig which runs on a 7300 GS.
You might ask me why I started folding now, I have mentioned the problem I've had with my 8800GTS in this thread

I shall write up a paragraph. But I could only do GTS450 or GTS250 since I only have a 6pin PCIe & 400W PSU. But can I try? Since I'm apart of FFG?

No reason you can't sign up. They'll go to the people who'll benefit most, and if that's you, then that's you.

First!(probably not as I'm typing this on my iPod, yes, I'm that dedicated ) Being near the top probably isn't great because the judges know there's 30 more pages left to look over

Well, let's see. I currently have a 8800GS which I fold with. I'm trying to squeeze as much ppd out of it, and surprisingly I am able to max the shaders in Afterburner, so I'm getting a good 4,000-6,000 PPD out of it. My half of a GTX295 which I bought in order to attempt folding with, apparently has issues and has the shaders locked to 700, and crashes every 5 minutes or so, and so it gives me a UNSTABLE_MACHINE error. I also ordered a GtX260 off of a member here who claimed it worked on x58 motherboards, but when I tried it in my x48 and a friends x58, it never posted. I had a bad feeling after I checked the guys "started threads" and found that he ha posted about a GTX260 not being able to post in his board. Oh well, getting off topic here. Here'smy stat page. Haven't been able to fold much as I've had a horrible fever over the past couple of days. Sooo...a GTX260, or even a GTX430 would help me out, and I promise to fold on it as much as possible. And thanks to all those who donated the cards!

EDIT: In additiontonfixing my crap spelling, I did some research on the cards. If I do win the GTS450 (which produces 1.5k PPD or so more than the 260, produces less heat, and requires less power), I would gladly switch with the person who wins 260 as I have the power supply to handle it, and I can take the heat. Just an afterthought.

I'll keep it short hehe. I'd love one of those nvidia cards for my folding rigs. obviously my 6870 twins can't do **** in folding. a nvidia card would boost my PPD and would make me feel a lot better paying my electric bills and they're not cheap here in Manila(the rates here are a lot higher compared to normal places). I've been folding for more than a month now and I plan to do it for a long time

Thank You and God Bless OCN Folders.
