Super Mega -- will it work with x68?

I know x68 is totally rumors right now (or at least that's the last I heard), but, is it probable that a adapter will be released?
This is my situation:
I currently have a Mugen 2 RevB installed, it's great, and I have a pretty decent OC with it. This is in Argentina. In the US, I have a Super Mega Black sitting on a shelf; I got it OB for ~$30 in MicroCenter (I couldn't resist the massive discount). The base is OK, maybe a few very minor scratches, not even very noticeable. I might be making a new build when x68 is released, and I want to know if I should:
1. Bring the SM to Argentina, and try and sell it.
2. If I can't sell it, I'd have to use it, but I'd be loosing $30, lol.
3. Leave it in the US, and use it in my new build. This is my preferred option, but it depends on if you think it'll still be a good cooler on the new platform (I'm guessing it will), and if a mounting system is released (how much will it cost, ~$10, right?)

Totally unrelated: I have this fan, in addition to my stock Mugen 2 Fan. I currently have the Mugen stock fan on the heatsink, and the other one mounted on noise dampening "screws", kind of like this one (a bit longer). The CM fan is pretty close to the Mugen, so it's kind of sucking air out too. Would I be better off inverting the fan setup? Should I buy a more powerful fan? I'm worried about noise, I don't mind some, but I can't stand the wizzing noise that drives you nut's while working.
I need answers on the fan stuff ASAP, since I need to place an order in the next few hours.

I ended up not getting any fans. The response on the Super Mega thing would still be nice thou.

uhh heat sink mounting is determined by socket not by chipset.

if x68 is socket 1155, and you have the backplate for 1156, then yes.

I know that much, but don't you think they'r going to change the socket? I mean 1155 is small (smaller then 1366 at least), so I don't see how it could be the socket to host 8 core CPUs.

Well a quick wikipedia check suggests that x68 will be socket 2011... so no it will not work.

Unless the manufacturer releases a new backplate and the current mounting holes can fit the dimensions of the new socket.

My suggestion: Don't count on it to work... you likely will not see any 2011 compatible coolers until we are far closer to release.

Does it mount on AM3? If so yes

I'm pretty sure it doesn't come with an AM3 mounting kit, that's like $10 I think.

If you believe in rumors and wanna give a discount sure!

I wouldn't worry about it tho we know nothing about new chips, not even the socket they are on the rumors flip flop back and forth so far i have heard 2011 is a server socket, it's the intel extreme only socket($1000 chips) and everything in between. In other words don't believe anything right now cause nobody knows it's all regurgitated bs.

Even if you had to buy a backplate it's like 10 bucks like you said, you might even be able to get it free from the manufacturer.
