Hey iv been using the Creative SB X-Fi Fatal1ty for a few years now. However in the last day or 2 its started making a very quiet crackle in the right channel, more like a fuzz or the sound of Velcro .

Is this a known issue or any1 got an idea of how to fix it ??

It does stop when muted or increase with volume, it starts when power goes to the Card (start of windows boot). I have tried re-installing drivers.

On a side note what would be a good replacement if it is broken ?
I use my AD700s with it. i listen to a lot of music and also game a lot so the CMSS-3D is important (used to play pro cs ). It sounds good but id always love better. It also needs to be 5.1 as well for my X-540s.

Thanks
