Normal to raise Vcore due to memory?

Thread Starter
I was running my Core i5 2500K at 4.8GHz with a vcore of 1.390 and it was 24H prime stable. I was running Patriot RAM 2x2GB DDR3-1600 9-9-9-24 1T ram at 1.65v. (stock speeds)

I recently upgraded to Corsair Vengeance 2x4GB DDR3-1600 9-9-9-24 1T ram at 1.5v. After the upgrade I had to raise my vcore to 1.40v to be 24H prime stable again.

Is it normal to have to do this? Different Vcore depending on which RAM is installed?
