Just compare overall value on Intel and AMD... and you'll see that you save almost on every subject with AMD, I've still have working AthlonXP... as I remember I build this in 2002

It was, for the shortest time.

Lots of good recommendations in this thread, and really, not much that should or could be changed - unless there was some deal or discount for something comparable.

Why did you take a Hexa-core Rabbit? I thought almost no game uses 4 cores, so we are far from 6. And therefore my next question goes like this : Is it better to take Hexa core with a lower GPU, maybe sell it later and upgrade, or get a Quad with a better GPU?

Get a quad and a decent GPU, it will serve you well. when I say a better GPU I mean a GTX 560,70,80 or an 6950/70.

yeah quad core would do , but if u save up a little cash on a GPU(138$ AR) and dvd drive (16$) there is no reason not to get a x6 unless u perfectly fine with quad then u can take a very decent case

Alright, but with that Scout case and the 80$ PSU, there's no way to put a 560 Ti in the budget. :S

You do realize that they have better RAM for cheaper than that even in Canada
I'm going to sit down for the next few minutes, put up an NCIX suggestion. Since NCIX basically is DirectCanada but with better service and price match. Sort of advantageous for me too because that's where I actually shop. Give me a minute...
Phenom II x4 955 - $134.69 price match
ASUS M4A79XTD EVO - $96, $81 AR price match
G.Skill Ripjaws 1600 CL9 - $42 price match
Compucase Blitz - $43.68 price match
Antec BP 550 Plus - $64.37 price match, $44.37 AR
MSI GTX 560 Ti - $250 price match
ASUS 24X DVD - $18.40 price match
Seagate 1TB - $53 price match
$5 shipping only because order is $500+ and under 100LBs (NCIX ftw)
Total - about $707 CAD, $672 AR

For Some reason DirectCanada gives me free shipping which saves me 30$ off NCIX. Actually, thanks for that awesome 560 Ti build, Ill check again what NCIX gives me for shipping
