Nope.

But I'm glad to see a post from you that isn't double-spaced sentences. Then again, there was only one sentence.

Sony: "Believe that anything you imagine, you can make real."

Gives me chuckles after reading all this.

Oh, and apparently they got told to go suck eggs...

Had the ps3 been hacked from the start when it had mediocre games, like with the ps2, sony would have been forced to move on and change its policy. But now when all the 'good' and popular games start to appear this hack is a disaster to the prestige, even more so since it did not perform that well in relation to the ps2. Plus it is more expensive. It feels different to develop for something that was supposed to be unhackable.

It reminds me of the encryption of satellite providers. Sonys measures pale in comparison there.

Since now supposedly consoles are the future of gaming, hacks such as this can not be tolerated.

Really? If people want to hack then let them, they bought the machine, let them hack it!

Why do they need to hack the machine? Plain and simple: it's a way to play pirated games. people try to disguise it as a way to play homebrews...

For arguments sake, let's say your right (even though you're not). What gives sony the right to sue geohot in a state he doesn't live in for releasing a crack that does nothing illegal? Furthermore, what gives them the right to subpoena other websites for IP info for everyone who has watched a video showing how the crack works?

If people only want to use the crack for piracy, them sue the people who pirate for piracy. You don't lock up the owner of a gun because he has the ability to kill another human, do you?

Whats funny is that even a hacked PS3 w/ free games is still a worthless POS system compared to my PC.

Sony is protecting their business.

You guys here are being emotional because you think this **** is about pride and accepting defeat like a "man". This is "playground" mentality...

It ain't about pride. Sony doesn't own you ****. They don't have to admit to anything. They don't have to get over anything. Someone's doing harm to their business and they have the right to protect it. Money is good.
