Cable management and painting the interior are the most popular mods on an Antec 900.
Painting - there are two ways you could spray paint it. Take the entire thing apart (removing all the rivets), or leave it assembled. Personally, I took mine apart, but if I had to do it again, I'd leave it assembled - I didn't find it to be worth the hassle. That said, if you're doing something I did, and used multiple colours, then taking it apart would be the best way to go.
There's a great guide here
which helped me a lot. The general idea is to sand it to 400 grit, then lightly prime it a few times, then apply your colour coat and finish it off with clear lacquer.
As for cable management, as long as you have a rotary tool, you do whatever you want. I chose to cut holes near the PSU, along the right drive bay side (motherboard side) and behind the CPU for easy access to changing the CPU cooler.
My worklog link is in my sig, you can see what I mean in there if you'd like.
The Antec 900 has plenty of mod potential if you're willing to put the time and effort into it.
