I'm looking for a fan distribution block that isn't powered by a four pin molex. I do realize there are 1:* splitters out there, but I'm looking for a cleaner solution.
I've already checked most of the outlets that I know of, and I also didn't find anything useful when doing a search here. I also realize it would be relatively easy to do my own with some PCB and connectors, but I prefer a ready made solution.
Examples of what I'm looking for are here (Except that all of these are powered by molex):
http://www.frozencpu.com/cat/l3/g47/...rts-Page1.html
Reason for use would be to put the upto 25 Gentle Typhoons I'll have between the three 3-pin fan channels on the Aquaero 5.
I understand the typical electrical limitations of these connectors, and how that makes my request an odd/difficult one. Perhaps it is more of an impossible one.
I guess I'll have to consider other options:
1. Terminal block.
2. Make a 4-pin Molex to 3-pin fan connector. Use one of the existing power blocks. Deal with the loss of the RPM wire.
3. Pull out bread board and make my own.
4. ???
Does anyone else have any other 'neat' ideas?

3-pin headers out are generally found only on the motherboard or another fan controller. Motherboards and controller have a power limit that is usually below that of a 4-pin Molex. Therefore, companies build controllers with 4-pin Molex plugs.
i.e. They don't want people trying to power 3+ fans from a single mobo header. |
