Obviously Motorola is to butt hurt to understand that after selling the worse droid phones of all time. The Droid, Droid 2 and the Droid X. I know Verizon is behind this but as a manufacturer you shouldn't let this happen.

So much fail.
I didn't know 40% of us were switching where's that percentage from?

  • While I own a few Apple products and would choose many of them over other options at first, I don't think that 40% is accurate, and is in fact quite a bit lower.
  • The Droid was one of the best selling VZW phones of all time.

And yes, it is disgraceful that Motorola would allow Verizon to push them around in such a way to make the hardware less capable. On that note, I'm glad Apple is as cocky and pushy as they are with carriers. At least their products don't have useless carrier bloatware and other "hardware modifications" further killing the experience.

Tiered data? Take about being taken advantage of... When I saw the price on this thing I picked up a G tablet, but I'm far from happy with it. The android tablet market isn't looking too good.

No, it's not. On paper, the XOOM is amazing. Even in person (Saw it at CES) it's pretty sweet. But until the Android Market gets more tablet apps it's not going to have the software momentum. Add in carriers customizing Android until it's bloated, useless, slow, and chock full of anti-consumer features such as charging for WiFi means it is in even more trouble.

$800? Yea, this thing is going to sell really well! Very competitively priced Motorola and Verizon! [/sarcasm]

Seriously, the hardware in this thing couldn't cost more than $300.

It's from his ass, as that is the only logical place one could pull such a number.

Seriously though... I try my damnedest not to buy apple products but we are in need of a thin portable tablet like the iPad and I was hoping honeycomb would be the answer... Shame on you Motorola.

I'll just wait for the wifi only version to come out in April. With no VZW BS included.

It's a good selling phone. Doesn't mean it's good. It's mainly people that want the iPhone but couldn't(or wouldn't) get it because it was on ATT.

Because their pretty bad. The only decent Android phones are the EVO and Nexus S.
