It is a mid 2006 mac pro with a geforce 7300 and it is running the newest version of os x
3 Questions.
1. Can you use any nvidia card on a mac?
2. Can you do sli?
3. Do you have to download drivers from nvidia?
1. No
2. No
3. No, they are downloaded from Apple, the card has a special firmware

More specifically, if it is an Intel Mac, the newest card(s) you can use would be a AMD 5870 or 5770, but they have to be specific mac cards (evga makes them) or they have to be modded to mac cards. The only reason Apple uses multiple video cards is for multi display purposes.
