What's a good external or internal dvd RW drive?

Hi

So I'm thinking about replacing my old Pioneer DVD-RW 111 D as it seems to be getting quite slow.

I know absolutely zilch about what's good in this realm, so does anybody have any suggestions for a drive that will be better than my current one?

Thanks in advance.

I have had lots of luck with LG drives. Also Asus ones seem to write/read quickly.

Any particular model?

If so, what advantages would they have over my current drive?

I use this one. I dont like having the cd/dvd drive inside my case.

Works very well, not too loud but maybe a tad slow.

ASUS: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16827135204

LG: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16827136221

Asus drive is a little faster, but both are good. CD/DVD burners aren't really that special anymore. But I personally tend to favor the ASUS ones.

Does it really matter?

Just pick one, I have two LG blu ray drives that are like 2 years old going strong.

Also, my Asus ones are good too.
