Core 2 Duo T8100

Thread Starter
I am looking to overclock my Core 2 Duo T8100. I have read about overclocking online, but would like to ask for the forum's help. Whats the best, safest and cheapest way to safely overclock my CPU? I would like to boost its performance to speed up my laptop.
I assume I should overclock using the BIOS. Is this correct?
Do I need to change anything in terms of power supply?
I would also most probably need some form of cooling. Is a heatsink the best option or is there another advisable method?
Thanks

Please click on User CP in the Bar near the top of your screen. On the left side then go to Add System. Input your system info so we know what else it is we are dealing with.

But Cee is correct. OCing a laptop(if thats what you are trying to do) is a bad idea. The "heatsink" system is barely adequate enough as it is already and in some case not enough. There no room or option to upgrade to a better cooler either.

Thanks for that.
I am trying to OC a laptop, so I guess since you all say thats not such a great idea, I will leave it and wont bother.
Thanks
