Personally I love the Call of Duty series. Ever since I'd bought Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, I've joined everyone else in the bandwagon and bought Call of Duty: Black Ops. Since then I've also played Call of Duty: Modern Warfare along with Call of Duty: World at War.

Over-hyped?

Yeah, I would agree to some extend. I mean other first-person shooters like Battlefield: Bad Company 2 are realistic, however the Call of Duty series are more relaxed to play first-person shooter, hence it's success.

I thought WaW had the best multi even though the spawns were broken. It wasn't as twitchy, and the weapons were fun to use(more like day of defeat). After owning 4-Black Ops on console, it's hard to believe they are so popular there. The game practically plays itself with the aim assist.

I like Black ops multi, but it's so flaky. Tryarch should do Multi(with a better QA team), while someone else handles the single player. They seem to balance things better.

Yep, I think it's pretty darn overhyped. It's pretty getting old too...

Over-hyped to be honest. I played MW2, BO and now play BFBC2 and I must say I enjoy BFBC2 so much more then MW2 and BO.

I agree.. It is a stupidly over-hyped franchise.
Also the same happened with me, I used to play Call of Duty, then Bad Company 2 came along and now with the announcement of Battlefield 3, BF is the way to go for FPS war time games for me from now on.
