Hi my friend wants me to put together an i7 computer with a budget of 1500. The computer should be sli, 4/6gb ram which ever is cheaper or bang for the buck, one ssd drive and one regular drive, dvd burner, sound card, case and he wants it to be really cool inside. so i was thinking maybe a corsair h50? He does not need a keyboard, mouse, speakers, monitor nor does he need software. thx Rebates will be fine too

When you say i7, I suppose you'll want to the new Sandy Bridge series. Its kinda hard to find those right now because its been recalled. I would hold off until April if he's willing to spend up to 1.5k.

I am lost with the sandy bridge. Today is the first day hearing about it as i am so disconnected with the new technology. Now i was looking at it and from what i see sandy bridge is dual channel while i7-950 is triple channel right? So isnt that slow. But then again i saw that for single applications like games sandy bridge blown the 950 away. So does that mean when running multiple apps sandy bridge wont hold us as well?
