Check out my horrid numbers ...

Well, these numbers don't look great at all! I haven't had the drive for a very long time, but it was free so I have used it as a boot drive. It was sent to me in a 'fresh' state.

I am definitely going to get a new SSD, but am kind of up in the air at the moment as to what to get or what to do.

I don't know if I really want to wait until the new drives hit the shelves (well, I don't know if I want to wait for SF 2000 since there is nothing concrete about it's appearance - the soonest I have heard is May). Also, I am a little confused about how Sandforce really reads and writes data and what role data compression plays in Sandforce performance

Looking at the Corsair Performance 3 series I noticed it has less than appealing 4k read/write speeds, so I think I am going to pass on it for now.

I was considering the Revodrive, but there are some drawbacks (such as the RAID configuration) and the fact that the c300 is better @ 4k read/write.

I would like to know when c400 is coming, as I haven't found anything concrete about this either.

So far, my top contender is the c300 ... but I would appreciate any advice.

EDIT: Rig is 2500k and ASUS p8p67 deluxe.

Something's very wrong. Can you run ATTO and post results?

Here it is. I am not too concerned, since I am getting a new one anyway. But I would like to solve the problem if possible. If I can get this drive to be worth a damn, it will be purely my Steam drive.

Thanks!

That looks better. I'm having a similar issue. AS SSD is showing far worse results than other benchmark tools.

Thanks, I appreciate the response. Since it seems like there are still some unresolved issues with the 1155 mobos (I don't know if the problem extends past SATA II or not, they say it doesn't, but who really knows?) I don't know how that could affect numbers also.

Any ideas as to what to do as far as getting a new SSD? I kind of feel like I might be cheating myself if I don't wait until c400 comes out just to see what it is going to be like. Do you know off of the top of your head ~ what the Revodrive's 4k read and write is?

Thanks!
