Think they spend 300 on the console and probably another 300 on accesories. For 600 dollars you can have a decent computer to play games on. Plus upgrading from one console to the next isn't nearly as cheap as upgrading a video card.
true that, my ps3 was like 500 bucks back in 08, plus another 50 for a controller, and then like another 80 for a charging station, a cooler, and a blu ray remote. and then another 50 for a headset. plus, we bought an HD TV soon afterwards and that thing was like 800 bucks! for all that cash i coulda got a sweet PC! now my TV is way outdated, and though i still <3 my ps3 for the most part, i think a PC would have been a better investment.

EDIT: and people who have consoles usually have regular ass computers that can run them up like 400-500 bucks or more depending on how much best buy rips them off.

PC is slightly higher initial cost, but it lasts longer and costs less to upgrade in the future. You can spend 800 now and be good for a few years, spend 200 here and be good for another few years. where when you upgrade a console, you have to rebuy almost everything except the TV.

I don't know why they would move away from PC gaming. http://www.tomshardware.com/news/Ste...uty,12138.html
Steam pulled in 1 billion this past year. That's only downloads through them.

"We're confident this will lead to an even better experience in Battlefield 3, not only on PC, but on all platforms."
1943 wasn't a BC expansion pack; it was an entirely separate title selling for ~$15. Neither was Onslaught; it was a co-op vs. AI game mode that is pretty bland.
