my PG&E bill.. after 1 month of folding - Page 9

What is the wattage on those 1090's when you clock high like you are? I backed my i7's down to the 3.6 or so range. I still make good points and I am not clocked so high that my watts consumed doubles. This happens on an i7 when you move from 3.6GHz to 4.0GHz. I like to contribute but I also must watch the power consumption.

Just install a flux capacitor that will generate enough juice

Hmm this makes me think, I might pick-up folding within the next few weeks, got a Phenom 940 and GTX260 just sitting in my closet. I live at my university's campus and the electricity is on them so why not take advantage? After all, might as well get my full dollars worth especially when there are gonna be education cuts to go along with our newly raised tuition fees.

Koven let us know what your 2600k does when you get your kill-a-watt
In talking efficiency, my 970 @4.0 bigadv only = 300w and produces 60k ppd.

PPD/Watt = 200

There's baseline and overage with PSE (here in Redmond). When I was rockin' the 16 GX2 farm during the summer powered by 2 dedicated 20A circuits, my power bill was definitely something to behold. Luckily we don't use AC. I was also on the "budget" plan so I was able to spread the monumental power bills over the course of the year. It was still expensive even spread over 6 months.
Avista for power. (100% electric )

I live in Cali and experienced something similar. My normal electricity bill is about $80 a month... computer and 20" crt/tv running 24/7. When I was folding it jumped to about $180, and that was when I was running my P4 3.2.
