Apple gey? eek.gif I didn't think the iPhone or iPad was a fail, look how many people swooped to copy that and fast too!!!

Call Apple what you want, not that I like them even 1% mind you, but they are by far anything but a loser / fail. A M$ whore on the other hand seems like more fitting words...

M$ on the other, well I hear the store bells ringing, and Apple is singing..

"Come all yee faithful, see what M$ & Us have to sell....!" (OS / Office & More!)

(Of course while your in the Apple store don't forget to pick up your iOwnU Mac Pack..) lachen.gif

Apple Sales HARDWARE & SOFTWARE, in cahoots with M$...

They were meant for the same bed!!!

When is the last time you seen Asus / Evga / Intel / AMD seriously selling software?

What losers!!

Steven Job - "We learned early on, it's not about the the hardware, but the software!" Now that is a seriously intelligent statement!

Then the hackers showed up..

"Really?"

End of story....

For this build, I can get by using 2 or fewer sata ports. It would work at 100% for its intended use. Like I said, I'd rather have one of the "defective" boards now, as I would be unaffected by the issue.

This is a clear example of Intel rushing their QA to maximize revenue and to meet Forecasted Quarterly Profits. This is simply unacceptable considering the refresh cycle that the industry has evolved to.

What are you talking about? The OEM's like Dell probably demanded they do this, so they would be able to ship their PC's out.

If the prebuilt doesn't use those ports, it's not really a big deal they don't work good.

Holy crap people like to blow things out of proportion. I guess all you amd fanboys freaking out about intel missing this tiny insignificant bug totally forgot about the TLB bug in the phenom I and forced them to lower performance by as much as 10-20% in ALL applications with the bios fix. The absolute best part is AMD knew about the bug prior to release and went ahead anyway. I'm not even saying this to bash on AMD, but if you are gonna bash on intel over this keep in mind that AMD has been in the exact same situation, infact I would say the TLB bug was far worse.

even though there is the SB "fault" I would still order mine toay if newegg had it for sale.... I use 5 SATA devices.... but would still buy it now... why??? because in 2-3 years I'll build another computer and probably not get affected by this mishap.... that being said. if SB is not back on the market when I get in my taxes I'll build AMD, why? b/c I want a new computer and I refuse to wait.

I am pretty much at the point of "I bought the Asus P8P67-m PRO, and I need 2 SATA ports, one for my Bluray Drive and one for my HDD. I have my computer as a gaming rig with no need at this point for the other SATA ports...

I will however RMA the board once Newegg tells me they want it back.

But if had come in a basic Dell or HP that you can buy from a random store, i'd be willing to guess that most people who buy a rig in a walmart or target or best buy would ever open the case to upgrade anything...

but that is just my thoughts
