Does 2gb VRAM help for 3D Vision?

Thread Starter
I'm going to be building a new system soon, and I plan on going with GTX 560 SLI. I'm trying to decide whether I should buy 1gb or 2gb cards. I know that for a single monitor at 1080p that 2gb of VRAM is pointless. But what about when running 3D Vision? Does extra VRAM help when each frame needs to be drawn twice, or is it only useful for 2560 or multi-monitor?

I've not personally run 3d, so this is a guess based on my intuition ... I don't *think* 3d on/off should affect vram usage.

It is also being affected by how much AA and details you run with.

actually ur almost right, its not affected that much, when i turn 3d on, i get a 25% increase in memomry, but thats on a 1680x1050 monitor, and by the way it no where close to 2gb, the max i have ever seen it use was 900mb, now when u are running multi mon, set up thats a different story
