OK, so if i just uninstall steam, and reinstall on new drive, am I going to lose the 9 hours I've already put in on GTA4? Any way to not lose it?

You could just shut down Steam and move the entire folder to the other drive. Steam doesn't mind and all your saves will still work, I've done it multiple times.

from what i read on steam support, just cut and paste the folder, then delete everything except steam.exe and steamapps folder and log in and it should work fine

Your save files are either in the steam folder or in a folder in C\\user\\documents

SO doing it this way, I delete EVERYTHING except those two folders? Isn't the steam app itself in there somewhere? I'm at work right now or I'd be doing it as I asked questions. ANd if not, then I just start steam up again, log in, and it will reinstall all needed files?

Move the steamapps folder to new hard drive.
Uninstall steam.
Reinstall steam on new harddrive
Delete steam folder on old hard drive if everything is fine.

I don't remember where the steam saves are, so move them if you find them outside of steamaps. If they're in user>my documents then you shouldn't have any problems.
