A good launcher to go with rainmeter?

Thread Starter
I've been messing around with rainmeter on my laptop for ages and I've finally got it the way I want it, the only problem is I'd like to completely replace the windows taskbar with rainmeter but I can't find anything that'd cut it for me. Maybe I'm asking too much of rainmeter and I should go elsewhere, I have no idea. Something minimalistic (preferably not colourful, going for black and white theme) would be very nice, some recommendations would be nice smile.gif

Oh and I would like to change the look of all the windows as well to go with the theme (not sure how to yet), some guidanace on how to do that would be nice too cool.gif

Posting a picture of your current setup would help. tongue.gif

Do you like docks? Cause you can give rocketdock a try.

I've gone messing with it and it looks completely different now, experimenting is annoying sometimes cool.gif

I'd like something like on my phone:

I've used rocketdock a bit but just noticed it can be themed, a bit googling is needed methinks. Oh and do you know how to hide the taskbar permanently? There is the show on mouseover but thats it thinking.gif

Can't go wrong with RocketDock and Rainmeter, and you can d/l custom icon sets for it

EDIT-Here's mine using Gnometer and Rocketdock with Lucid icons, just as a demonstration

ok, this is what I have now using rocketdock:
attachment.php?attachmentid=194584&stc=1&d=1297154169
I'm just trying to get my widgets set up properly again, I'm already having a few small annoyances (lack of search, massive programs list). Also, that taskbar hider isn't sticking, its showing up again every minute or two(I'll try running it as admin though).

EDIT fixed two of my problems, start button still works, just no taskbar cool.gif

No fix with admin mode cool.gif

Giving compatibility mode a go just in case it does something smile.gif

EDIT no fix with XP SP2/3 and vista SP1/SP2. Maybe a windows update messed it up. Any alternatives?

EDIT found no problems with it, it even lets me reserve a place for the dock and still lets me use the start menu when I need it wheee.gif
