Prime95, if you can run it for 18+ hours without error your system is stable, run the blend test, it will hit CPU and memory - also Intel Burn Test, or LinX are pretty good ones as well.

I use Linx but that's basically just IntelBurnTest. Folding@home is also a very good way to stress CPU's

IntelBurn Test or LinX. At least 50 runs, just be careful of your temps

Both Prime95 and any linpack test (IBT, Linx, OCCT) will stress it far more than any other application.

Not always true. I had a stable Overclock with all of those and it failed when I folded. You will find different programs stress in different ways.

You'll want to try some of your typical games or applications as well since passing these stress tests is only an indicator, not absolute proof, that your overclock is stable. I had my E6600 at 3.5 GHz for a while and it was 24/7 stable for folding and Intel BurnTest. The second I fired up Age of Empires II: The Conquerors it would freeze up. I dropped my overclock to 3.15 GHz just to make AoE2 work.
