Nice budget. A GTX 560 is a pretty good card, this one in particular, It comes pre-overclocked, but can reach 1Ghz easily

BTW, about your PSU, does its fan light up blue?

you should try overclocking your cpu to see how much you can get out of it

overclocking your ram doesn't bring any noticeable gains (outside of pure benchmarks) so that is not necessary

no, you do not need new os- you can switch to windows 7 but that is entirely up to you

you could use another 1 gb or 2 gb ddr stick
depending if you have one 2gb stick right now, get another one 2gb stick
Thanks for pointing that out for me umm wouldnt there be a compatible issue if i get diff ddr2 stick to run it with my current one? Should i get a new cpu cooler before i start trying oc'ing? the stock ones i have doesn't do its job effectively, leaving my cput 50~ and it goes upto 80~ underload.

ohh... Then I have no Idea if your PSU is reliable. Can someone confirm that?

Cause the least you need is either a GTX 460 or a 260. They'd have no problem on running on a great 450w PSU, but unreliable PSUs can only perform to about 60% of their claimed specs

he does not need to worry about his psu it will do just fine
in my signature you can find power consumption of graphic cards and you can find how much power do those graphic card draw

I believe the best course of action here, is to buy a megahalelm, put that sucker on top of your CPU for about $60, $30-40 used... OC that till it's knees break ... That'll remove a lot of any CPU bottlenecking you get, as the Q6600 is a beast, even in this day and age.. And it's also capable of 3.6ghz in most scenarios

Then next course of action would be to buy another 2GB of Ram, or a whole new 4GB kit entirely so you'd have plenty of overhead for that nice overclock, as well as remove any kind of memory bottleneck you could be (are) getting at 2GB...

And to finish this build up, get a GTX 560Ti or a GTX 570, and OC that till its eyes bleed... Or, go onto craigslist, and offer everyone who's selling a GTX 460 1GB $130-145 dollars, someone will sell you one (most likely). All these options will do you severe justice. If I were to recommend one though, it'd be the 570, as it's a monster at 1080p and has plenty of overclocking headroom hehehe .

If you've got any money left over, I'd recommend you getting a 750W corsair PSU

But without a PSU, you're looking to spend around $300-450 with my suggestion

I hope I helped, it's good to see you still have a lot of potential left in your current build .
