its sad, when i look in boinc stats (for example) and total number of users is so low - world wide (!)
If Stanford threw a few bucks my way to cover the electricity cost, I'd do it.

where are those people with huge gaming rigs ?

Easy to say I misunderstood. You made a very direct statement, sure you are re-clarifying after to try to seem like you did'nt mean it as extreme as you stated it initially. Thats fine lol. Perhaps though if you had rephrased it in the first place to try to avoid the ambiguity we would not be having this conversation.

No one is going to buy AMD. I can't think of any one company that would take that gamble in this economy. Not to mention their 2.4B in long term debt.

Good news though, in less than 2weeks Bulldozer will be showcased at Cebit.

Just rumours at the moment.

However, I'm positive that we'll see some BD related things at CeBIT this year like the new Crosshair V and other AM3+ motherboards.

And it's not unprofessional at all to say that, because its the truth. Very few things as of now take advantage of anymore than 4 cores outside of encoding and video/photo editing. I'm not saying that will always be the case because obviously over the course of the next year or two that will change but as of now it's a perfectly legit observation.
