The Zambezi CPU Performance Estimate... - Page 32

bulldozer fanboys at their finest , those benchmarks dont prove a thing .. there not even official . i could whip up something like that in photoshop in 10 minutes haha gullable people ...

I hope this cpu is good , but its nothing better than what intel has already .. its all just marketing ..

Whenever amd compares there cpu's to intel they make intel look extremely bad in benchmarks .. i dont like that , in reality intel Shiz's all over amd ..

bulldozer is apparently as fast as nehalem architecture , nothing to write home about .

get over it .

I'll keep my wait and see approach on this subject.

I've gotten comfortable with selling and buying used parts around here, no reason I couldn't do it again if something warrants it.

If you are talking about the chart I posted, I got it directly from the Bulldozer blog that is OFFICIAL lol.

And you can't say Bulldozer is as fast as nahalem when there are no benchmark's that have been ran lol. We are just interested in learning more about Bulldozer, no one here is a fan boy. However judging the post you made, you seem like an Intel fan boy.

So adding another module that makes it 8 core's will essentially be 50% faster at the same clock speed as Phenom X6 (theoretically).
Ehh...This makes me want to wait for reviews, doesn't sound good considering even if AMD made a 16 core CPU that killed any and all Intel CPUs in multi-threaded scenarios, there's not many uses for a 16 core CPU...

Exactly, until software catches up to hardware advances the speed of each individual core is a much more important factor than just slapping on more cores.(outside of encoding and video/photo editing that is)

Well good news, we have confirmed 3.5Ghz+

http://hothardware.com/News/AMD-Lift...ozer-At-ISSCC/

"The design reduces the number of gates/cycle relative to prior designs, achieving 3.5GHz+ operation."

There may be a few corner cases where the "true" quad-cores outperform Orochi thanks to their individually dedicated FPUs
