I think it's SAFE to say that Bulldozer is DEFINITELY going to be BETTER THAN a Dual Core
You probably need to re-evaluate your understanding of the underlying technologies if this question ever presents itself in your mind..

AMD have already said that BD will have 50% more performance for 33% more cores compared to current AMD cpus. Source

An Opteron 6174 gets 14.81 in cinebench

So a 16 core server BD should be somewhere ~22, and an 8 core client ~11.

How hard was that?

Okay so this is my estimate as the way you want it. You cannot expect a better estimate from anyone here.

Phenom II x4<Core 2 Quad (45nm)<Phenom II x6<Core i7 9x0<Sandybridge~=Gulftown

and bulldozer goes in there somewhere.

Now let's examine this trend to show how you just can't predict

4c AMD<4c Intel<6c AMD<4c Intel (new architecture)<4c Intel (new architecture)+die shrink~=6c Intel (Old architecture)

I didn't even add cache sizes. It's just all over the map. At first they said that sandybridge was a "sidegrade," but now with so many people hitting 5.0ghz stable 24/7 it's really becoming an x58 killer. It's still 4c (2600K has HT making it roughly identical in components but better in performance) but a die shrink and an architecture change make a huge difference.

Which probably means we will see even bigger boosts on the desktop version with all cores; I'm estimating around 700-900Mhz, which means we may be seeing 4.2-4.4Ghz stock speeds. But remember, smaller cores offer much more turbo boost. Remember, 2 cores = 1 module on Bulldozer. For the same of simplicity cores here will be referring to the integer cores, not entire modules. So, going by this math, assuming BD has excellent scaling:
16 cores = 500Mhz turbo (server variant)
8 cores = 700Mhz turbo (desktop variant from here on in)
6 cores = 850Mhz turbo
4 cores = 1000Mhz turbo
2 cores = 1500Mhz turbo (much less TDP with only 1 module, so better scaling)
Though the values could be necessarily less, the overclockability of Bulldozer can be very easily predictable. If Turbo Boost is high enough, sometimes we may be able to see 5Ghz+ rated speeds!

My personal prediction (without any math involved) is 5.5Ghz+ all cores on air, 8Ghz+ on LN2... of course that's me, but still
heh, this is really far, far away from reality.....

My estimate was that there is not an estimate. Great job at learning to read.

Also please note the most important part of what you linked but did not quote.

You give estimates based upon known information. He used (and admitted to using) only a partial view of the CPU. Even then he admits that they aren't real numbers and assumes several things (as he does note). His main assumption is 50% increase over existing AMD products. Manufacter numbers are always idealistic as was said before. They are claiming 18% over SandyBridge. I will believe it when I see it and test it for myself.

So who cares if someone wants to have a pre-launch prep talk / speculative talk about the new Architect / CPU coming out... Is it bad?? Is it hurting someone???

Not really...

At least we aren't flaming people here, and neither should anyone else be, that's just horrible forum etiquette...
I have no issue with speculation, I have an issue with it when people behave as if they know for a fact how fast it is going to be without any actual information to back it up and passing it off as fact when talking about it. As long as you realize any speculated performance figures have zero basis on any real performance information.(which there is none of.)
