23 days and a wakeup to fly to Kansas. I really cannot wait.

Gonna be there longer than I thought but we'll be driving back when the spring hits. I'll try to leave my system Folding while I'm gone and my bro will be in control of it to make sure things are going smoothly.

So yeah, no way I can be fearless leader being gone so long. I may hardly even be on during this time but I will be checkin in with you fellows occasionally to be sure. I definitely won't be a stranger.

I'm now at the point that I'm not sure when I'll have a new pump from Swiftech... I'm not getting any response from their support reps. I'll be calling first thing in the morning on Monday. If there's a i7 availbable to take my place, I'd say get someone in that slot. I can permanently fold on my 750, though. I'm going to be focusing on my multisocket setups more now anyhow.

What kind of woman VooDoo is this that you should leave OCN and the TC for such a "spell" ????
And how long are we talking? A month? Six months? 9 months (enough time to make a little Cead)?

4 to 6 months depending on the weather. 6 months max I think though.

As I said though we'll be driving back. Gonna catch up with a few of her friends and a few of mine along the way, might hit Vegas and Reno to stay out of California as much as possible(no offense to anyone here but we're both from the NorCal area. Might check out the 9ers new Stadium depending on our timing concerns and worries and then head back up North to Washington.

It's not woman Voodoo though. I lived in Kansas when I was a kid for a short time and I remember Kansas winters. Short drives are fine. Long extended trips I didn't enjoy so much. Also I could be working some while I am there and it would give me a chance to top off the PayPal account before heading back. Businesses don't get built on dust bunnies. lol

OK, might have got my pump sorted. Pulled the center piece out of my old one and put it into the new one and the clicking has left. Wondering if the new one is off balanced or something and it was hitting the sides. Maybe there was something in the impeller, no clue... Anyways, as long as it's running I can stay in the i7 slot I guess.

Well I guess it is good to procrastinate.

My Network went down for a bit so I said "What the hell, I'll overclock further."

Went into my BIOS and noticed that my DOCP was no longer running and my OC was on 1333 setting. It was slightly under 1333 actually....

...Changed it back to DOCP which autos the RAM to 1600. Failed to POST. Need to contact ASUS and have them update a custom BIOS for me to include all current Dominator available on the market. So that's not a big deal. Probably take them a day or so to update the QVL for the CIVF Bios. No biggie I can live with that...

...Soooooooooo, okay fine lets kick this pig and get a 4.042Ghz clock. BUS speed was set at 238@16.5 Multiplier. So I increased the BUS speed to 245@system multiplier 16.5 RAM underclocked to 1042 or 1024 by Default. I left it alone and made sure my settings were correct(RAID/IDE, Boot Order, CPU Q set to manual 60x30% fan speed for the front 200 since I don't have a CPU fan, and checked the temps to make sure my CPU wasn't too hot save an exit and viola POST! ...

... It's nice to have Gadgets on the desktop. Cause I immediately noticed that My CPU/RAM activity monitor was all kinds of unstable. Same for my Desktop clock. Closed them both and things were somewhat stable but v7 was stuck on "Ready" which should not have been. So I cranked it on and things got REAAAAAAALLLY slow. So I reset to go back to my 3.8Ghz clock. Yeah right went back to default settings and my system wouldn't even go into POST mode. Hung at CPU and wouldn't go any further. So it looks like this CPU is dead other than Stock settings.

It's a DAMNED GOOD THING!!! that I sorta procrastinated on lapping this CPU otherwise my system would not be folding for the team. Gonna wait to get my fittings, which should be soon and when they get swapped out I'm gonna RMA this thing. Really sucks but at least I know I'm covered by AMD on it. I'm hoping that I can get it all done before I head out of town.

True but I wasn't able to do it cause the work that was being done on the place. New Carpets new floor, new tub, new cabinet faces, new windows all the while having to move stuff round the apartment. Not conducive to doing much in the way of Overclocking or work. lol then of course having other irons in the fire at the same time didn't help.

Hope my fittings get here soon so I can replace them and while it's down get the number off the chip(misplaced the box someplace) and fix this fan lead so that it has 2 good pins in it.
