when i am at home i can "death grip" my iphone 4 and it does nothing.
when i am at work and i do it it drops a couple bars.
difference?
at work i only have 3 bars and there are many concrete walls around me at home i have 5 full bars

i still get a signal and it doesnt affect data rates or phone calls when i "death grip" my iphone and actually i get signal on the other side of the building where with my old iphone 3g i got no signal at all and people that have 3gs's still do not get signal.

The Verizon iPhone 4 does help mitigate the antenna issue: http://www.anandtech.com/show/4163/v...one-4-review/2

it's not the carrier, it's the phone. I would like to award a huge DERP certificate to the writer of this article

Working for ATT and all the constant every single day problems i get from the iphones, i will honestly say Apple can kiss the back side of my left _____

worthless product really, ok maybe its slightly good for fooling all the people its been sold to that its a reliable and worthwhile product.

People on here that do like the iphone go ahead and argue with me about the iphone trust me more than %50 of the issues i deal with at work are iphone related.

That's a fair point.
I would admit having to deal with everyone else's problems with the iPhone would drive me nuts and completely turn me off liking/even buying one.

Yes I have one, It's the best phone I've had for sure being my last phone the Sony Ericsson W595. Until I have a major problem I will be with you on that one

My droid's signal does not drop when I death grip it no matter where I am or what's around me. Whatever the baseline signal was is what it gets when I have both hands wrapped around it so thoroughly that the only thing I can see on it is the signal meter.

Fail iPhone antenna is fail.

'Help mitigate' =|= 'fixed'. Cell phone antennas aren't rocket science. Motorola can do it. I'm sure Apple can too.

Fail iPhone antenna is fail.
i'm glad your droid doesnt have any noticeable signal loss but when you compare the iphone 4 to the iphone 3gs (which no one complained about the "death grip" issue just poor signal quality like it is at&t's fault, not saying it is or isnt) you have one phone that gets service in the same place the previous does not so it is not a fail antenna it actually is a win antenna wouldnt you say?

you're trying to compare different phones on different networks (yes i know the iphone is on verizon now but the media is going to rake it over the coals just to get more page hits because apple iphone is in the headline)
