Here is the solution people: Buy a case/cover. Although I know some people would complain about having to buy something that they shouldnt need, plenty of people purchase cases/cover for their phones.
U don't even have to buy one. Apple provides anyone who buys an iPhone 4 with a free case.

Watch some of the videos out there for the VERIZON iPhone. If you hold your phone like that normally, you have bigger problems than signal attenuation. It'd be like getting upset when your signal drops after dropping the phone in a bucket of water. It's completely unrealistic. Not to mention that this sort of things affects just about every smartphone on the market. But when it happens to an Apple phone, watch out.

Are you in denial or something? The Iphone has major design flaws. If you can make signal strength drop 3 bars with your pinky, your PHONE has the issue. Stop with that dumbass Steve Jobs argument of "holding your phone." I can hold my droid x any freaking way I want, it's not going to kill my reception. Get a grip. Find me any other phone that can manage this:

Deal with it.

And? My Ford Taurus may be priced just like a full-size Benz or BMW or Audi. Does that mean it's actually worth as much as an Audi?

And, in any case, name any Android phone, and it's dropped in price since its launch date. The Droid x, incredible, and Droid 2 can be found for free on a 2 year contract, it's been ~6 months since the release. The Iphone's been out for ~8 months...how much has it dropped? Oh wait...

Yeah, and the guy in the video made 2 bars disappear within 10 seconds of bridging that gap with his hand.

LOL NOT THE SAME FLAW LOL

Also, I was mainly commenting on your Steve Jobs-esque comment about how the guy holds the phone. Misdirection and strawman arguments doesn't work here, sorry bro.

Bridging the gap...by essentially "bear hugging" the entire phone in a completely unrealistic manner...in an area without full-on coverage.

Yup, you're right, I'm the one being stupid about it.

Well if you hold your phone in such a way that essentially makes the screen invisible, more power to ya, "bro".

Bridging the gap by putting ANYTHING THAT CAN CONDUCT ELECTRICITY IN THAT 1/16" SPACE. It's the one spot on the bottom left-hand corner of the phone. You don't need to bear hug the phone to engage the iphone advanced call dropper, it just turns out that "bear hugging" (or in non-apple terms: holding the phone with your left hand) will drop bars. Are you being intentionally dense? Are you in denial? You're acting as if I said your mother's cooking is one step above poison.

I challenge you to find me any other smartphone, that directly competes with the iphone, that can drop calls if you place your finger in one particular spot on the frame of the body.

Has this been proven on the Verizon iPhone??????? Yes or no? Because that is what we're talking about, unless I magically stepped into some sort of time warp that brought me to July 2010 or something. You realize the Verizon version was redesigned right?

You want to accuse me of being dumb when you yourself are blatantly ignorant to the topic at hand.

It just so happens that there have been reports of an antenna issue with the new Verizon iphone. I think someone named Jon4Lakers from Techno Buffalo made a video on youtube about it and demonstrated the loss of signal. And then I think someone DannyTheGamer from OCN posted a topic about it in the News section. Stop me before I reiterate the entire thread, post by post.

So was the Verizon iphone redesigned? Has it been proven that the Verizon Iphone drops bars by making contact with the bottom left-hand corner of the screen? Is this at all related to the AT&T Iphones problems of dropping calls by making contact with the bottom left-hand corner of the screen?

I guess the jury is still out on this one.

Well you said earlier you can make the phone drop 3 bars with your pinky. Havent seen reports of that yet on the Verizon phone. Clearly you need to do more than merely touch the lower left corner to make the signal drop, seeing as how the folks in the video have to grip the phone in a completely unusable way. I mean if it were as simple as a simple touch of the finger, why not display that in the video? Surely they at least attempted it to no avail, otherwise there'd be ALL kinds of media coverage on it. But alas, there's not.

Once again, your argument doesn't hold a drop of water. You're merely apple bashing like the rest of the ill-informed souls of OCN.
