[TB/YT] Verizon iPhone 4 Still Has Signal Issues. "Death Grip" - Page 7

Clearly you need to do more than merely touch the lower left corner to make the signal drop, seeing as how the folks in the video have to grip the phone in a completely unusable way. I mean if it were as simple as a simple touch of the finger, why not display that in the video? Surely they at least attempted it to no avail, otherwise there'd be ALL kinds of media coverage on it. But alas, there's not.

Once again, your argument doesn't hold a drop of water. You're merely apple bashing like the rest of the ill-informed souls of OCN.
Keep in mind these are early bird reports. The phone hasn't even been released in the hands of the enemy yet. But from the looks of it, it suffers from the same problem.

Maybe you're right, maybe you have to hold the phone with your left hand, not just your pinky, to get major signal loss. Maybe at this rate, we'll get a usable iphone by 2012

My argument has at least proof that it suffers from the exact same issue as the AT&T version, backed by a video which shows a Verizon iphone that behaves exactly how all the other iphones for the past 8 months behaves when the bottom lefthand side of the phone is touched. You're saying it smells like a duck, quacks like a duck, feels like a duck, but very well may be an Alpaca.

My stance on it is this: its such a pointless topic, just as it was at first.

If the iPhone 4 lost most of it's signal strength when held naturally (as people like to do) or lost all of it with this so called "bridging" issue (which is rubbish as far as I'm concerned), it would've been taken back on a mass scale!

I think it's just pointless... whether you think "bridging" really happens and/or that it loses too much signal strength when held, you've got to face the fact that: with, or without a case, there are millions if not tens of millions of happy iPhone 4 users that use the phone for calling, texting, and whatever else that requires a signal, everyday in a real world scenario, that aren't taking it back.

It's great to see OCN hasn't changed.

This^^^^^

And like I said earlier if u don't like the iPhone don't buy it. Is it really that hard to comprehend?

Any one who says that the issue with the antenna doesn't exist or exist on every phone obviously doesn't own an iPhone 4... I have an iPhone 4, and with one finger I can make the reception drop 2 or 3 bars in a matter of seconds.

That said I still love my iPhone and it has never given me any problems since I use a case.

Oh no, not the same death grip problem that's not affected me a single time in the 6 months I've owned mine.....

That must be a pain..
I mean, with my iPhone 4, I chose the worst possible provider in the UK and that's 3 (Three). I stated to them that I would leave the network as my old contract expired unless they offered a good deal on the iPhone 4 specifically.

The guy on the phone had no hesitation and gave me the handset for free (originally £100) and with a contract for £30 a month for two years. (500 Minutes & 5,000 3to3 Calls, 1GB Internet and 5,000 texts)

And my signal is never "full". Always have like 1/2 bars and a connection to 3G outside of my Wi-Fi connection. And I've got this gel casing around it and without it it's worse, with the death grip test yeah it goes to "No Network".

Even though.. I do love my iPhone XD
From a Sony Ericsson W595 it's a dream.

From what I know it was said that this version would fix the antenna issues or at least revise them further but they failed to do so as the video linked on YouTube shows.

Just a note to people thinking that this one will still have the issue.
