2 rads...where to put them?

Thread Starter
I will be getting a swiftech 220 rad in a lil bit, and I was going to put my 2 gtx 275's on the 320 and the cpu on the 220.

All components will be overclocked.

Do you think this is the best idea?

Just shooting for opinions.

thanks.

Are you running dual loops? From your post, it sounds that way. What pumps/blocks, etc?

I run a Q6600 @3.4 and SLI GTX260s all on the same loop with dual MCR320's by a MCP655. Works fine.

Just run it all as one loop; dual loops don't help much of anything.

Gotcha. Yeah, you don't gain a lot from dual loops; just more hardware.

The order does not matter in the loop, it might change temps 1*, if that. Just route everything where it is convenient and looks good.

its all in the same loop. loop order doesnt matter- just make it simple. Preferably people put the rads before the cpu then after comes gpus.

Ive also read to put the pump before the rads too because it puts out some heat- not a lot though.

Just important to make the loop neat with pump below the res (correct me someone)

I have 2 240's on the back:

Like bl1nk said...loop order doesn't matter...all components are being cooled by both rads anyway. Any setup should work fine as long as you can prime/fill the loop and purge all the air.

Mine are on the side:
