Any way to check...

...Why my Graphics card is not Downclocking to 2D clocks while in the desktop?

Sometimes it does (rarely) downclock, but most of the time it stays fully clocked with voltages and all.

I was away for about an hour, and it was still sitting there. It did not even go to sleep mode (45min idle timer), so something is dragging power.

Download MSI afterburner and watch the graphs. Other than that you can adjust the power setting in Nvidia control panel to "performance mode" so it wont downclock.

Edit: Mis-read that, you can change it power saving mode (I think that is what it is called) to make sure that it will downclock..

I had it set to "Maximum performance", set it to Adaptive now and gonna see what it does.

It wont affect performance while in games, i hope?

Edit: It didnt drop, so I closed some programs, and when I closed Curse Client, the Mhz fell imediately, even though I had Hardware acceleration off...

Guess I'll keep that off when I dont use it

You can set game specific commands, like I play WoW in windowed mode so I had to go in specifically and tell it not to downclock.
