Thread Starter
In my current Pc I got a WD CavBlack 1Tb hard drive with Win 7 home 64 bit Also have a 250gig one with vista on it.

Anyway im building a new pc i was gonna pull the Hd from this rig and put in the new one and let my wife use the old vista Hd anyway she said she like windows 7

So i was thinking if i buy a brand new hard drive and a copy of win 7 oem for the new system

anyway my question is what do I got to do to the brand new hard drive to install windows to it or will it be plug in play also and just boot to disk

Also will be 1st build I'll take any advice

Nothing special needed, boot to cd and you can format it once in the windows install. It's up to YOU if you need to put it on its own partition. I recommend it, but doesn't matter for the purpose of getting the o/s on there.
