Tax monies are wonderful things

Well, got the parts ordered to get a new rig up and running. This is only going to be a stage 1. As I get more money, things will be upgraded.

AMD Phenom II x6 1090T
12GB G.Skill Ripjaw DDR3 1333 (3x4GB)
Palit 560Ti 2GB GDDR5
NF980-G65
Corsair Hydro H70
Silverstone OP800

That will be going in my CoolerMaster Mystique 632s case, with my WD Caviar Blue 320GB drive as my main, and two 2TB green 64MB cache storage drives.

Once I get some more money, I'll be going SLI on the 560Ti, and then going to do a custom water loop. I'll start off simple, CPU only, and upgrade as I get time/money/bored.

The power supply is the one that I'm concerned about. Will it be enough to push two 560Ti's in SLI, or am I going to need to go bigger?

Tis already ordered, and I wanted to go with a bit more RAM than speed.

Now, when I build the second system, I'm going with higher speed RAM, but that 1333 will do me good for now.

You wont see the difference between 12 and 6 unles you are doing some heavy video/picture editing/renderings.

1333Mhz... meh
What you really should be dumping is the 12GB.
4GB (2 DIMMs) will perform in proper dual channel and will result in nice big noticeable gains. Or you can add 1 more DIMM for 8GB. Always run on 2 or 4 DIMMs with AMD platform. 1600Mhz is actually also much more optimal as well for both overclocking and performance, but even 2 or 4 DIMMs at 1333Mhz generic would outperform 3 at 1600Mhz performance.

Well, I am planning on getting a fourth module to kick it to 16GB and go dual channel a week from Thursday (payday), this was just enough to get me going so I can get the system going and get out of the dual core.

can I ask why you are using tri channel memory for a dual channel memory controller? You are killing your memory speed just by forcing it into single channel.

Idk anything about that PSU, looks kinda ghetto, not 80+ anything, but they did rate its output at 50C so it shouldn't be too bad. In which case you've got 792W on the +12V rail... I think that should be more than enough for two 560s lol (170W TDP)
